Ted Rachofsky's

life is divided into four overlapping parts.   Family, social worker, educator and musician.  His professional musical career started in the Chicago/Milwaukee area where he played with the Chicago Civic Orchestra, the Milwaukee Pops and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.  He was also the principal trombone of the Jalisco Philharmonic in Guadalajara, Mexico for ten years.  He now plays with the Pecan Street Brass and the Austin Brass Band and teaches mathematics at Austin Community College.  He enjoys both endeavors not only for the joy they bring him, but also for the opportunity to meet new people and to be with friends.
